Cooksville is a community that consists of a multicultural atmosphere and was once a main hub of Mississauga.  It is in Cooksville that the first municipal offices, central branch of Mississauga Library System, and the original offices for both the public and Catholic school boards.  Through its multiculturalism, it allows for a variety of restaurants and shops that are custom to the area. Cooksville as a community creates a family oriented neighbourhood in both the Huron Park and Gordon Woods areas. Clarkson is a community that is still growing and modernizing itself; the pricing in the area varies but is affordable for homebuyers to enter the market.

The homes in the area range in style and design, there are condos in the Cooksville area that are on average 20-45 years in age.  There are also post war bungalows which are also older homes, but are wonderful for renovation projects or investors who are seeking to build there own custom home due to the land available. For those seeking the exclusive prestigious homes they are located in the Gordon Woods area, the neighbourhood is similar to that of Mississauga Road with the larger homes and lots along with the quiet streets for your children to grow up amongst friends.
